Our Social Development programs focus on improving the well-being of women and their families, helping them reach their full potential and achieve self-sufficiency. We offer a range of workshops and group sessions tailored to meet the diverse needs of our community.

Recognize Own&Walk In YOUR Magnificence

Empowerment workshops aimed at helping women recognize their value and potential.

Conversate

Group therapy sessions for women where various topics are discussed through activities such as cooking, dancing, or hairdressing.

Positive Black Masculinity and Femininity

Group sessions on healing from the psychological effects of the trauma of racism, facilitated by Dr. Kitossa. These sessions are available upon request.

Afro Fitness

A Zumba equivalent using African rhythm and instruments. These sessions offer an opportunity to learn the story behind the music used and are currently held outdoors.

Culture Center

A space for youth and adults to explore the arts, including music, acting, and spoken word art, as ways of coping.

Intergenerational Conversation

he Aunty Rhoda program provides a platform for conversations and mediation, supporting youth through community elders. These programs are designed to support and empower women and their families, fostering a sense of community and well-being.
