The MOVE
Inspiring Niagara Youth Through Physical Activity for Mental Wellness

The MOVE is an innovative health promotion initiative designed to empower Niagara’s youth by highlighting the vital connection between physical activity and mental well-being.
Funded by Niagara Region Public Health (NRPH) and Emergency Services (ES), this program aims to address key risk factors associated with chronic diseases through active engagement and education.
Co-created by youth and Youth Adult Peer Leaders (YAPL), The MOVE provides a dynamic and supportive space where young people can explore how movement positively impacts their mental health. Through interactive sessions, peer-led discussions, and hands-on activities, participants gain the knowledge and tools to build healthier lifestyles—physically and mentally.
By fostering an active and informed community, The MOVE is helping Niagara’s youth take charge of their well-being, one step at a time.
