Osayemwenre Agbonwaneten

My name is Osayemwenre Agbonwaneten. Friends call me “Osas” for short. I was born in Nigeria and have three wonderful siblings. Fourteen years ago (2007/02/17), I arrived in Canada with a lot of dreams and aspirations. I left behind childhood friends in pursuit of better education and my dream of becoming a professional soccer player. In September, 2007, I gained admission into Brock University where I attained a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology degree. While at Brock, I played Varsity soccer which was one of my proudest moments. I loved every second of it and met a lot of wonderful teammates and coaches. After graduating in 2014, I became an assistant coach for Brock University Women’s soccer team. I knew I had to give back to the community who welcomed me with open arms and provided me with the necessary tools needed to achieve my goals. I decided to apply to Niagara Regional Police Service to become a police officer. In August 2016, I joined Niagara Regional Police Service as a police officer which is one of my greatest achievements and proudest moments. Family, friends, and coworkers describe me as respectful, kind, caring and generous. I have also been described as a hardworking and honest coworker who work’s tirelessly to achieve a common goal. My motto: Positive thoughts fuel positive feelings. Positive feelings fuel Positive actions and behaviors. Be kind to one another and be a best version of yourself.
