William Dorsey has worked as a Crown Attorney in the Ministry of the Attorney General in Ontario since 2010. He has worked at offices in Peel Region, Brantford, Waterloo Region and Haldimand County. He reviews cases that have resulted in people being charged by the police with a crime and determine how they should be handled by the prosecutor’s office in court, with the public’s safety being his primary consideration. Before that, William was a criminal duty counsel lawyer with Legal Aid Ontario for two years in Oshawa and Brampton. He was born in Toronto and grew up in Scarborough and Nova Scotia.
